You've misunderstood. Utd will get top four, no question. But there's a difference between going direct into the group stages, and having to go through the CL qualifiers. That difference being the difference between 3rd and 4th.
The top four will be the top four. But in what order.

Was talking about the Ospina-Oscar one. Cahill handball also should have been a penalty. Not sure there was enough contact for the Fabregas penalty - could have gone either way, definitely was a dive though. So at least 2 penalties not given.
