I think it's a sign of things to come. Since Stoke City got promoted the bottom half started to become competitive, now there is an open-ness up to 4th place.

Indeed. I think a lot of those teams have money to buy stronger players now, and its up to the big clubs to use the extra they have to find world class players, or be overtaken.
I think a lot of the top clubs just havent signed well in recent years and they are paying for it.

It doesnt look open at the top, Chelsea looking like they could clinch the league in March.

Chelsea are the exception, but then again, this Chelsea team is approaching one of the best in Prem history imo. I dont think anyteam has ever had the strength in depth they have.
