today 12 mil does not look so bad.

Saints actually got a bit of depth up front.

Yet I have already read a "kind fixture list" comment on BBC site.

And to anyone thinking we are in a "false position"

WHU 1-3 Saints, WHU 2-1 Man City

Arsenal 2-2 Hull, Hull 0-1 Saints

Sunderland 1-1 Man U, Leicester 5-3 Man U....Saints 8-0 Sunderland, Saints 2-0 Leicester

Newcastle 1-0 Liverpool, WHU 3-1 Liverpool...Saints 4-0 Newcastle, WHU 1-3 Saints

We are picking up results against teams the "big boys" cant.

Will be interesting to see what happens when the saints play the "big teams".

But United have not been much, Arsenal aint playing well though some big names coming back, Liverpool they seems to now be the Saints B team :rasta . ANd Spurs and Everton are doing what they do best, trying to just miss out on the top 4
Time will tell, but all the saints can do is keep getting points. And long may it continue :clap

Kompany does not seem the player he was. City are shocking at the back.

What has happened to this team?

Yep, got battered by Man City and Liverpool away, but who cares..... if Man City then play shite, and Liverpool havent won since, it dont matter a jot.

Id rather be playing poor teams and winning, then playing poor teams like United and drawing or throwing away three goal leads.

Southampton arent going to win the league, but they are setting themselves up for a top 5-6 finish, which any saints fan would have snapped your hand off for..... alternative, judging on those teams below them, who says they cant finish in the top 4??? playing better than most teams below them, even against the "kind teams"!!!!

I dont think beating the top 4 wins you the league.... it was the Aston Villa's of this world that kill Chelsea's title bid last year.

We lost to Liverpool and Spurs away...and in both games deserved atleast a point.

We also went to Arsenal in the cup and outplayed them, which lead to Wenger saying "we didn't lose because of our players, we lost because of theirs", but that gets conveniently overlooked.

Spuds are 2-0 down to stoke at home. Backline looks suspect and i wonder why Pochettino got rid of Dawson? Better than whats there at present.

Newcastle continue their revival under Pardrew and at present have put themselve into contention for a european place

4- 12 at present looks pretty tight.

Luke Shaw - 16 points
Lovren+Lallana - 14 points
Pochettino - 14 points

Brendan Rodgers talking about Tottenham last season, "When you spend £100M you should be winning the league."
