It's quite surprising when you consider that in its previous guise of the European Cup which started in the 1950's that was defended successfully on 12 occasions.

Watched the game in a pub in Oxford, which was full of Italian and a few Spanish. Great atmosphere, but I won't be able to give a full in depth tactical analysis of the game!
