better refereeing than his earlier decision to rule out a perfectly good Swiss goal for off side right in front of him. Just because the linesman got it wrong doesn't mean that he has to accept it as far as I'm aware, especially since he had a really good view of what was going on and would have seen that the other swiss attacker stepped over the ball, which kept the scorer on side

I think the fact that the swiss player got immediately to his feet and kept going, instead of rolling around like big girl or grabbing the ball with his hands, which helped the referee to play the advantage.

True, but it is easier to get back up if you can see a goal scoring opportunity. Great finish to the game though. Almost equalling the watford - leicester play off game from a couple of years ago.

A story coming out today about Franck Ribery.

He missed the WC but could have played if he'd had a cortisone injection. He refused to have one saying it was not good for long term fitness. Other stories are suggesting it was because he's scared of needles.


Personally I've always been against cortisone being applied. It can cause problems further down the line.

He denied he is scared of needles, personally I think he made the right call, first he needs them for the WC, then he will need them for the start of the new season, and before you know it, hes lost 2-3 years of his career. You just know he will be criticised for it though.
