I have seen it reported that Parkinson came onto the pitch and pushed Ian Goodison.... If that is true, then I think you might be calling the wrong person scum.

Yeah he did, and Goodison got a yellow for pushing him back...not the elbow/forearm incident.

Was this shown on Sky Sports? Wouldn't mind seeing that incident again.

What kind of logic of calling Parkinson scum for being defensive of his players and squaring up to a thug who clattered an opposition player to the floor? Fair enough if Parkinson smashed Goodison (which he looked like doing after Reid was on the floor motionless). Lets be honest, you would not just sit there and watch when the incident happens feet in front of you and the match officials do nowt.

Best bit is shortly after wiping out Reid (and hacking Jason Kennedy in the penalty in a separate incident), Goodison goes down like he got shot after a cheeky tackle from behind by James Hanson.

Never saw that coming - certainly not from a distance. OK had a poor start but that was not unexpected when you go up a league with roughly the same players. Allen talked a lot of sense- in public anyway.

So your definition of scum includes the manager of a team who has no direct control over his players, or a player trying to kill time in a game, but does not include a manager who comes onto a pitch to physically reproach a player of the opposition because he feels a decision has gone against him? If the Tranmere boss had simply pushed Parkinson over rather than play spoiler tactics, who he not be a scumbag in your eyes?

If Goodison used the elbow then he will be banned and rightfully should... and so should a manager who behaves like Parkinson supposedly has. I havent seen it, but it has been widely reported.

On the one hand, I don't think its a deliberate elbow and hes trying to use his body to shield the ball out of play, on the other I wouldn't be happy if it happened to a Southampton player.

Northampton's horrible start to the season continues. How can a team that got to the play-offs last season be in such dire straights now :strop

Can't really dispute the use of body to shield the ball out of play, but the use of elbow was rather dubious. That said it didn't warrant a sending off as it wasn't malicious.

Looks like Parkinson didn't lay a finger on Goodison, as initially thought.

Northampton's squad looks so different from the playoff final to that against Oxford; only O'Donovan, Tozer and Collins started in both matches. Northampton are effectively starting from scratch and the new squad needs time to gel.

Cheltenham who have been in the top 7 for the last two season have also started miserably and Burton are fading away. League Two is so tight that anyone with good team spirit is capable of doing well.

Peter Taylor as interim coach? For the fans sake I hope it's interim.

Clearly he approaches him then pushes his arms out, but in my view it is an elbow....

Nice to see Nigel Clough back in employment as manager of Sheffield United, hope the club give Nigel time to turn their fortunes around and not panic if things don't go according to plan.

Cracking game of football between Bradford and Wolverhampton Wanderers, shame about the result like but a quality turnout with 18,000 in attendance.
