On the penalty, I heard the ref had blown for an earlier challenge. Not sure what it was though.

the ref blew to award a free kick to Denmark for Kane going down too easily. VAR didn't agree and wanted to check, but there has to be clear evidence to overturn the ref's decision.... same with the one he did give.

actually it isn't a bad plan, switch to three at the back and carry on as before but with some extra security. Problem is that immediately the players went to five at the back, so the mids had to drop back too and before you know it England can't get the ball out of their back third

I lost count of the number of kicks that he put straight out, but then he kept getting the ball kicked back hard to him with attackers bearing down on him. I get annoyed with all the back passing. We just go from having possession to losing possession via a string of back passes
