Yep, been first choice striker.

Keeping Sturridge out of the side, and allowing Liverpool to bring him on as a impact sub. Help managing Sturridges injuries as well.

Could really have a huge impact on Liverpools season. And such a shame for the player, was really showing his potential.

The fact that Mori hits his chest and Everton Badge just makes it worse. Could suggest it was pre meditated.

Didn't realise Origi was Belgian, bit of a golden generation coming out of that country.

30 goal attempts by Liverpool to 3 by Everton!

I wouldn't say suddenly. Aside from their horror second half against us, they've been bang in form for weeks. They've just had games in hand too, giving them a slightly false position in addition to coming up from a low position. When everyone was raving about West Ham being bigger a threat to City for 4th the other week, I said that Liverpool were at least an equal threat.

Top 7 is finished now (ie the maximum number of league European places). It's just about what order they all come in.

Thanks for everything Pothas. You'll be missed. My nickname for you was apt and I will never forget it. For the last time, arise Sir Nic.

James Milner has recorded 11 assists in 2016 in all competitions, three more than any other Premier League player.

As he is responsible for pretty much every free kick, corner and cross into the box for the Liverpool team it isn't a major surprise. Wonder what the ratio is. 253 balls into the penalty area for 11 goals.

I bet he's top of the wasted cross charts as well!

Roy thinks Vardy didn't dive and it was understandable he called the ref a c#nt.

His two crosses last night with his wrong foot were decent.

He can have his own opinion on the penalty, but I find it pretty disturbing that he downplays Vardy's behaviour towards the referee. Saying that sometimes humans react badly seems like the worst excuse giving ever.

The cross that set up the winner against Dortmund was spot on as well but it wasn't a difficult dink, and guys at his level should be able to get it right alot of the time.

I can't recall the Dortmund one but there are a lot of good players who can't kick very well it with their wrong foot.

Can't really defend his behaviour. Roy reminds me of the Duke of Edinburgh at times.

I can empathize with Vardy because it's how I tend to react if I've felt hard done to. The anger soon dissapates so I try to keep calm for the initial few seconds in the hope that I can avoid an outburst.

The real news in this post that I am learning is Mesut Ozil is no longer a Premier League player.... when did he leave because he was way out in front of the assist charts?

(And yes, this widely Tweeted stat is very very wrong.... Ozil can break the all time record, so Milner is nowhere near him).
