They should have bought guehi as konate has checked out, van dijk is past it....Robertson is their best defender right now and he's getting on to...kerkez has flopped and frimpong can't stay fit and when he is fit he dosent fit at right back ....they changed way too much all at once and it has backfired.....however Salah has been well off the boil this season and Isak can't get fit and when he is fit looks toothless in front of goal....so yes there are issues across the entire side and slot is just full of excuses that aren't entirely legit

I wont be renewing my CL season pass next year if we qualify, I have had enough of watching corrupt football. Last night we scored two equalising goals ruled out for offside, the first was not referred to VAR because the linesman got his flag up as the ball was hitting the net - replays show it was onside. And then the 2nd time, the line showed the Union player was 6 inches onside, but the line was drawn in the wrong place on the graphic - a very clear error for everyone to see, and one that won Marseille the game.

It is always the same. Last year we got knocked out by Ajax, but in the last minute their keeper flying kneed our striker in the head challenging for a 50-50 at force, left him with a broken cheekbone, nose and unconscious for a few minutes on the floor, but the referee decided it wasn't a foul and didnt refer it to VAR. Newcastle's second penalty was a joke, everyone in the British media in their reports said it was clearly not a penalty. Inter's two penalties were a joke. In Madrid, a player two footed challenged one of our players with both feet off the ground, yellow card and not referred to VAR. In Galatasaray, a studs up challenge to the ankle was not given a red card, and left our left back with a long term injury.

And its not even the big decisions that matter the most, its the constant 70-30 bias you need to overcome on everything. They kill a break with a professional foul? no yellow card. You win the ball in a 50-50, the referee blows for a foul. Its every single minute of the game.

Goals being disallowed for no reason vs Marseille.... I am sure its above board. Marseille after all have no history with bribing match officials, do they ??

Funny story....

Before last year's cup final in Brussels, a few Brugge hooligans got into some rather unsavoury street fights on their way to the ground leaving a couple of lads unconscious in the middle of the road. At the time, this was reported as drunken yob Brugge fans starting fights with the locals looking for trouble, but subsequently turned out the guys they ironed out had links to organised crime and Marseille's ultra group, and it was them that had in fact looked to start the trouble with the Brugge fans and got ironed out as a result.

Either way, when Brugge drew Marseille, the ultras of Marseille pledged to smash up Brugge and all of their supporters in revenge, and the lead up to the game involved police uncovering pre-arranged fights, and it then kicked off pre-match and the police had to shut down the whole centre of Brugge due to the trouble.

At the end of the game, trying to calm the situation, Brugge put a message on the TV congratulating Marseille for qualifying and wishing them luck in the next round.... unaware that due to two Madrid red cards the game in Portugal was going well over 90 minutes, and that the news of Benfica's goal was just becoming known and that Marseille had been knocked out.

The friendly message was thern misinterpreted by Marseille fans as Brugge taking the P*ss that they had been knocked, and they then proceeded to start a riot and smash up the away end

It always annoys me when police chiefs and local authorities talk about 'throwing a ring of steel' around footy grounds

they shouldn't have to. It feels like an acceptance that it has to be this way. I'm not sure it happens in any other sport. There can't be many sports where you have to escort travelling fans, ban alcohol in stadiums and throw rings of steel around. It's a *modded* nonsense
