But some real problems with their form at present, and what would happen to Jose if there is no silverwear to show for this year?

The very real possibility no English teams in the semis at this rate. Real would have to be favourites now as Bayern did not look to great against United.

Certainly not writting them of, and PSG did not look that good last night. But Chealskis defending was poor, and they are in poor form at present. 3 looses in the last 5 games. Wonder if the players are starting to get tired. Maybe Jose should have held onto Mata so as to have a bit more depth for this time of year.

Chelsea and Real Madrid go through.

Chelski take the second major scalp of the competition. While they didn't open up PSG with mouthwatering attacking football, they hit the bar twice, and deserved to win on the night. Neither team looked superior over the tie, but Chelsea's attacking at the cost of letting in goals in Paris was sensible... they got the magic away goal that took them through.

Thought Laurent Blanc messed up last night by sitting back in the second half. With the quality of Lavezzi and Cavani they always had a chance to score (in fact, Cavani had one very good opportunity) and an away goal at 0-0 or 1-0 would have killed Chelsea in the tie. Teams defending need a counter attacking option.

Whilst I hate to agree with him, I agree with Joey Barton that at the moment Verrati is the weak link in the PSG team. Pastore is better, and why they don't start Cabaye is beyond me!!!

Schurrle was pretty immense when he came on, my man of the match. Demba Ba just isn't good enough, and neither is Torres.

Yeah, scrappy finish to say the least, ball came off his shin onto his boot which he then nearly scooped over the bar. But I guess he was in the right position at the right and Chelsea who seem to have a knack of getting through these games progress.

If Man U somehow get through tonight two Spanish teams and two English in the semis.
