he was the one who insisted on an 18 month contract, but seems to be enjoying the job enough to want to stay on for the home Euro's in 2028

after a bit of a confusing start to his tenure, he does seem to have settled into the job and hit upon a squad of players and a playing style that looks as good as anything England have had, probably since El Tel was in charge
