Buttler finished off the IPL with 3 ducks and started last night with just the single, so I expect him to score heavily tonight against Durham. It's exactly the kind of team to get himself going

:lmao Well done Durham.

Yeah just the 11. He should go back to Somerset. Hardly plays for Lancs. I read he lives in Somerset and London. So he must stay in the Hilton Garden Hotel when visiting OT.

This is his 10th year.
First class 16 games (last played 2018)
L/o 4 games (2016)
T20 42 games

Nathan Sowter still lives in London, I believe. He's signed for Durham pretty much as a T20 specialist, but is allowed to train by himself outside of the Blast season, negating the need to move North. It seems like an odd arrangement, but there's no doubt it's working for both parties. 9 wickets for him at very little with an econ rate of not a lot and Durham with 3 wins out of 4. We only won 3 T20 matches in the whole of last season. We can still be pretty shambolic, particularly with ball in hand, but Sowter gives us 4 middle overs that only go for about 18 runs, which is unheard of for us. It means we don't have to score 200 runs every match just to have an outside chance of the win.

Last year we had Tye taking 21 wickets for us in 10 matches and we still couldn't buy a win because of the dreadful economy rates of our bowlers and the poor strike rates of our batters. It's very early days, but we seem to have made progress in correcting the batting strike rates and made some progress with bowling economies. Still plenty of work to do, of course. Put us under pressure and we'll fold 9 times out of 10

Reading today David Hopps in Cricinfo he says Buttler lives in London. Living in different places Onions (Lancs bowling coach) lives at the Hilton Garden Hotel during the week and goes back to Durham at the weekends.

Sowter sounds a good signing. Lancs have too many spin bowlers playing. Three seam two spin seems the right way to go. Because Lancs captain is a spinner we play 4!

oh crikey!

Yorkshire's winning streak comes to an abrupt end

Durham lose marginally on DLS as the umpires take off the players the moment a wicket fell and DLS was suddenly in the home team's favour..... of course
