Glenn Maxwell 78 (49)
AB de Villiers 76* (34)

First time the No.4 and No. 5 batsmen of a team have scored 75+ in the same innings in IPL history.

Pat Cummins nearly managed to drag the Kolkata Kingston Rovers over the line for what would have been a hugely unlikely win. Chasing 221 and having lost 5 for 31 on the way, he took Sam Curran for 30 in one over, but eventually ran out of partners. Had he done it, it would have been one of those knocks that every commentator (because they have no imagination) would mention every time he came to the crease in every match he ever plays for the rest of his career.

I wasn't able to watch the match, but even though KKR still needed 20 off the last over, I reckon the Chennai players probably all had Johnny Fartpants clouds coming out of the back of their trousers

I am staggered this competition is still running considering the scale of the human tragedy going on in India atm. Seen a few players are pulling out over the weekend and going home, which is not surprising.

should never let human tragedy get in the way of making money.... basic principle of modern day sport

Much like the English Premier league going on when hundreds were dying on a daily basis in December and January.

Money and sport.
