Into the third day of this tournament and Lahore won their second match against Quetta today to go top of the table.

Fakhar Zaman, who had something of a lean Pakistan Cup, was back to winning ways in the shortest form with 82* off 52 balls to see his side to the total of 179 with 2 overs to spare.

As it stands Chris Gayle tops the run scoring league with Shaheen Shah Afridi at the top of the tree for wickets.

Another decent score from Fakhar Zaman saw his Lahore side beat Karachi. His 83 at the top of the order proved the foundation on which Lahore pulled off the steal of the tournament as they surpassed Karachi's 186. It looked dead and buried before a late surge from the Lahore franchise.

Lahore are now joint top with Peshawar with Karachi in third with a game in hand.

Multan's Mohammad Rizwan now sits at the top of the run scoring tree with 231 from 4 games whilst Englishman Saqib Mahmood is impressing for Peshawar. His 10 wickets are the highest in the tournament.

24 hours after a Fawad Alam contracted Covid and forced the postponement of the game, his team Islamabad ran out victors in a straight forward game against Quetta. Faheem Ashraf made life very difficult for the Quetta batsmen by being both dangerous and economical. He ended with figures of 3-11 from his 4 overs and Quetta ended on 156-7.

Islamabad had no issues chasing that down in 17 overs to go second in the table.

Sarfaraz Ahmed scored 54 runs in the Quetta innings taking him to 4th in the run-scoring rankings (behind RIzwan, Sharjeel Khan and Fakhar.)

Hasan Ali got 2 wickets for Islamabad which takes him to 4th in the wicket taking rankings (behind Mahmood, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Wahab Riaz)

James Faulkner had one of the better T20 franchise debuts as he registered 4-0-32-3 as Lahore beat Islamabad today.

It was down-to-the-wire stuff as Lahore needed 16 from the last over to win.....they did that and claimed a one run victory.

Islamabad's Colin Munro (90*) chased down a target of 133 facing just 36 balls to maul Quetta who were all out in their allocated overs.

David Miller's 73 powered Peshawar to 197-5 with Quetta only getting 136 in reply.

Peshawar move up to 6th whilst Quetta are rock bottom

Asif Ali's 75 was instrumental in Islamabad outscoring Lahore today. Islamabad got 152 for 7 with Lahore off the pace throughout. Notably Asif was out hit wicket.

There was never any doubt that Multan Sultans would chase down Peshawar's target of 166 with skipper Mohammad Rizwan in total control from the start to the end of the innings. He scored half of the runs with his 56 ball 82.

Multan remain 5th with Peshawar third.

Quetta beat Lahore by 18 runs today to seal only their second win of the season. It gives them a (incredibly slim) chance of continuing in the competition.

Khurram Shahzad's 3-14 helped Quetta hold back Lahore as they defended 158 runs.

Karachi are about to win the evening game.

Multan's Shahnawaz Dhani stunned Lahore with figures of 4-6 as the Qalanders were all out for a mere 86 chasing 169.

Multan are up to second but have a game in hand over third and fourth placed Peshawar and Lahore.

Another impressive performance by Mohammad Wasim for 31 in his 4 overs and took 3 wickets for 2 runs in the last over of the innings to help limit Multan at the death. Islamabad never looked too comfortable int he chase but made it with 3 balls to spare

Usman Khawaja was batting better than I have ever seen him in T20 cricket today but could not get Islamabad straight through to the final as they lost out to Multan by 31 runs.

They will play the winner of Karachi vs Peshawar....which (with 12 overs left) looks likely to go Peshawar's way.

Hazratullah Zazai has played 4 matches since the resumption of the PSL. He has won 3 player of the match awards in that time.

He got 77 off 38 balls against Karachi to get to.the knock out stages and then has got them to the final with 66 off 44 today.

Peshawar easily managed the run chase of 177 to dismiss Islamabad

Multan rode on the back of a 35 ball 65 from Sohaib Maqsood to win the PSL final.

They posted a very competitive total of 205 which Peshawar flirted with briefly but which rapidly escaped them in the death overs.

Babar Azam's 554 runs sees him as the highest scorer whilst Shahnawaz Dahani finishes with the most wickets despite going without in the knock out stages.

Very odd tournament seperated by a few months but also worthwhile.
