Of this very small number, the guy on a streak of 4 ducks in a row gets a game. Madness. They say form is temporary and class is permanent... well, sadly being useless is pretty permanent too.
He was picked on basis of his excellent Big Bash form whcih happened before IPL auctions. He was bought at just 0.5 Lakhs which was a great buy in terms of amount paid for his Big Bash form. RR did try Liam Livingstone in just one match in which Liam flopped and replaced him immediately with Ashton Turner who then had a miserable run with abt and also dropped one simple catch in field.
Problem with RR is their foreign batsmen have been pathetic except Jos Buttler. Smith was struggling for runs until his last two innings. Stokes has been way below par with bat. Now they can either go back to specialist bat Liam or Ben Laughlin who bowls and can score some runs as well. Luckily for RR atleast two foreign picks (Jos & Jofra) have performed above average.
