KP the guy that claimed he missed IPL because of having a rest after a busy winter is now seen commentating in india for 3 weeks lol.
when in reality the real reason for the pull out was he was not getting the big bucks to make the trip worthwhile for him.

yeah coz commentating on games takes as much out of you physically as training every day and playing matches ...

I see the Kolkata Knight Riders have signed up Blackcaps all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme in place of the suspended Andre Russell.

About time someone from the IPL took a punt on him, now my IPL interest levels have raised from non existent to passing.

Woakes is available for full season. Colin too. KKR have got a opening bowlers replacement for Russ as well as both of them can bat, although not as dangerously as Russ with regards to his SR.

Colin de Grandhomme has the highest batting strike rate of any professional Twenty20 player

Dre Russ = 164.71
De Grandhomme = 171.04

Effectively a like for like replacement, shrewd business by the KKR.

if he entered the auction not sure KP would even get a bid at the price he entered the Auction.

SR 171.4 is awesome. KKR have some tough decisions to take regarding 4 overseas players.

Shakib, Narine, Trent Boult and Chris Lynn are also other worthy options.

what does that have to do with your comment ?

you ridiculed the concept that he wanted to rest because he was commentating when the two things cant be compared as far as their physical impact

maybe not for the physical impact but he will not be seeing his children or Family etc.
Especially when he said earlier he pulled out of the ipl because he didn't want to be away with his family during April and May and didn't want to do all the travelling.
So don't you find it weird that he pulled out of the IPL citing that reason yet he goes to the IPL for 3 weeks for Commentating duties which is likely to see him travelling a lot and be away for his family.

no i dont

as i said spending 3 weeks commentating on the odd game is basically like having a holiday

he withdrew from the auction well before it was held so how do you know how much he might have got ?
