KP was just coming off the Big Bash where he averaged 38 at a strike rate of 128. Seem a tad daft to suggest he wouldn't have been picked up, even ignoring his runs he's a big draw around the world.

well Imran Tahir didn't get picked up originally as well just to let you know and KP hasn't really done that well in the IPL in the last few years so it is questionable if any franchise will bid on him.
KP probably knew he wasn't getting any interest from Franchise which made it easier for him to withdraw from the IPL.
