KP is playing in a VCA T20 game in Melbourne's eastern suburbs. I might wonder down and have a gander.

I did make it down to this match - Monash v St Kilda. KP opened the batting for Monash with Will Sheridan, who is on the books with the Melbourne Renegades. KP looked a little lose, but did play some classy shots. He did get dropped a couple of times, on his way to 30 odd. The match ended in a tie, with the last over for St Kilda being bowled by none other than Michael Beer. I got to meet KP after the game. We spoke for all of 10 seconds. It was quite a day.

When the Big Bash does kick off next week, I suspect that KP will bat at 3, in a line-up that would appear to have quite a bit of fire power. Expected line-up as follows;

Luke Wright
Cameron White
Kevin Pieterson
Glenn Maxwell
David Hussey
Marcus Stoinis
Peter Handscomb
James Faulkner
John Hastings
Clint McKay
Jackson Bird

Geez. That is pretty impressive.

Do you reckon Eddie will again be getting irate at suggestions of salary cap stretching?

Peter Handscomb has been ruled out of the Big Bash with injury, and will be replaced by Tom Triffitt.

FTS - who was that solid bloke who scored record century/s (in balls faced) for the Scorchers last season? Haven't seen him on any list, and I thought he would be a shoo-in for a contract this season.

Craig Simmons, he's playing for the Adelaide Strikers.

Yeah, that's him. Those in the know are raving about him. His replacement at Perth, Michael Carberry, has been taken to hospital for scans and what ever it is he's injured.

and it was nowhere near enough. Tim Ludeman scored 92 from about the same number of balls in a dynamic display. Stars cop a walloping.

Eddie will NOT be pleased.
