Moeen Ali scored the highest score of this season’s League as the Northern Warriors inflicted ANOTHER loss on Abu Dhabi. Moeen got a 23 ball 77 to see the Warriors chase down the largest total of the competition so far for the loss of no wickets to see Abu Dhabi’s form slump even lower.
It was an all-English affair as Banton was the top scorer for Deccan as they beat Delhi with ease. After getting them out for 94, Banton et al got the total in just 6 overs.

Chennai got smashed in again.

Oshane Thomas got another threefer today to continue the West Indians decent competition. He helped limit Deccan to 134, but his resurgent Northern Warriors couldn’t deliver with the bat and ended up running out losers. The win sees Deccan overtake Abu Dhabi at the top of the table.

It was clearly a good day to be a West Indian bowler as Dominic Drakes. He helped sink a stuttering Bangla team who only got to 88 in pursuit of just 100.

Chennai got beaten again.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz is having a fine second half to this competition for Delhi. He scored 69 today to mark his 3rd score of 50+ in his last 5 innings. This sees him overtake Rovman Powell as the highest runscorer in the competition. Hasaranga continues to dominate with the ball with 18 wickets from his 10 games.

Gurbaz's dominance today came against Abu Dhabi whose form in the second hald of the competition has been abysmal. They have now dropped to second with Deccan taking the lwad on the points table.

Was the knockout round of the competition today.

Deccan beat Delhi to progress straight to the final. It was hard luck for Dominic Drakes who got three wickets, taking his total to 16...however his Delhi side were out gunned with the bat which meant that Deccan progressed straight to the final.

In the eliminator Bangla were the unlucky lovers as Abu Dhabi progressed to the second Qualifier against Delhi. This was despite Hazratullah Zazai scoring the 6th highest score of the tournament so far - 66 off 23.

In the evening game things got worse for Abu Dhabi but much better for Drakes as he got figures of 4-13 to skittle TAD out for just 60 In a chase of 109. It really has been a mighty downfall for Abu Dhabi who looked unbeatable in the first half of the tournament.

Drakes' 7 wickets in a day sees him top the wicket taking tally whilst Gurbaz remains the highest run scorer....and is likely to remain thusntldepsite scoring just 19 across his two games.

There was a third place play off in this competition....because of course there was. Disappointingly it finished tied and suprisingly there was no Super Over. Abu Dhabi ended up Victor's as they were higher placed on the original points table. Colin Ingram (who I haven't thought of since about 2018) top scored with 41 for Abu Dhabi.

Deccan convincingly outclassed Delhi in the final. They put on a tournament high 159 for no loss with Andre Russell getting 90 off 32 balls. Delhi never looked like being able to beat that and were sunk for 103.

Deccan's Wanindu Hasaranga got another 2 wickets in the final to finish the tournament with 21 - the highest in the competition.

Hazratullah Zazai faded away a bit towards the end of the tournament but his 353 runs from 12 matches sees him as the highest run scorer.

Good clean (hopefully) fun
