Rules

Pick 11 players. No substitutes are allowed. No restrictions on who you can pick

Scoring

Batting
1pt for every run scored
Players scoring at least 25 runs will receive a 10pt bonus for every 25 runs scored
Players scoring at least 15 runs will receive a 10pt bonus for a s/r 125-174
Players scoring at least 15 runs will receive a 20pt bonus for a s/r 175-224
Players scoring at least 15 runs will receive a 30pt bonus for a s/r 225+

Bowling
25 pts per wicket plus
1 pt bonus for every dot ball bowled
10 pt bonus for a 2fer
20 pt bonus for a 4fer
(rpb = runs per ball)
Bowler with an economy rate of <= 0.7 rpb (min 10 balls) will receive a 50 point bonus
Bowler with an economy rate of <= 0.8 rpb (min 10 balls) will receive a 40 point bonus
Bowler with an economy rate of <= 1.0 rpb (min 10 balls) will receive a 30 point bonus
Bowler with an economy rate of <= 1.2 rpb (min 10 balls) will receive a 20 point bonus
Bowler with an economy rate of <= 1.4 rpb (min 10 balls) will receive a 10 point bonus

Fielding
10 points for each catch taken and stumping.
20 points for sole run out (10 each if shared)
10 pt bonus for being involved in 3 catches / run-outs / stumpings

as a trial I am going to make no distinctions between men and women's teams. I've become more and more convinced in recent womens competitions that there is no longer any need to have different scoring rules based on gender in these short form games.


so........ that means, in a first for CMS FL's, entrants can pick any combination of male and female cricketers in their sides

Will it work?

I have no idea

but if there's enough interest, i'm happy to find out

Mixing men and women is something I'm trying out this year. Scoring will be the same regardless
