I did wonder about delaying the start until after the qualifiers, but they only finish the day before the tournament starts proper, leaving very little time to finalise teams, so I'm going to start it at the qualifying stage.

This means there could be players who end up playing 2 extra matches, but teams play extra matches all the time these days as part of the convoluted knock out stages in all sorts of competitions, so I'm feeling quite sanguine about that.

Normally it wouldn't be an issue, but the West Indies have to qualify this year and have the pedigree to go all the way, so there is an opportunity to sneak in some extra matches if anyone wants to take the risk of them missing out

10th Oct onwards are warm up matches and the tournament proper starts on the 16th with the qualifying rounds, but some of the already qualified teams will still be playing warm ups when the tournament proper begins

Rules

Pick 11 players. No substitutes are allowed. No restrictions on who you can pick

Scoring

Batting
1pt for every run scored
Players scoring at least 25 runs will receive a 10pt bonus for every 25 runs scored
Players scoring at least 15 runs will receive a 10pt bonus for a s/r 125-174
Players scoring at least 15 runs will receive a 20pt bonus for a s/r 175-224
Players scoring at least 15 runs will receive a 30pt bonus for a s/r 225+

Bowling
25 pts per wicket plus
5 points bonus for maiden over
10 pt bonus for a 2fer
20 pt bonus for a 4fer
Bowler with an economy rate of <=4.0 (min 2 overs) will receive a 50 point bonus
Bowler with an economy rate of <=5.0 (min 2 overs) will receive a 40 point bonus
Bowler with an economy rate of <=6.0 (min 2 overs) will receive a 30 point bonus
Bowler with an economy rate of <=7.0 (min 2 overs) will receive a 20 point bonus
Bowler with an economy rate of <=8.0 (min 2 overs) will receive a 10 point bonus

Fielding
10 points for each catch taken and stumping.
20 points for sole run out (10 each if shared)
10 pt bonus for being involved in 3 catches / run-outs / stumpings
