Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Still 9 games to go, and unless the Hurricanes somehow contrive to lose their last two games I'm going to be down on players for finals, at least compared to you and probably the reds as well. Only takes one great game for a couple of hundred points to turn around.

I've got quite a few second places over the years, but always just been pipped to the post. The England-India 2018 series still rankles a little. I was leading after the third and fourth test, and still ahead going into the last day of the last test, and far enough ahead and the players were such that the only way I could have lost is if Rahul, who'd had a terrible series up to that point, scored over a hundred.
