Brad Haddin
Sunil Narine
James Vince

Who am I?

This is really difficult, because Vince and Narine are T20 mercenaries, and have probably played all over the place, so they don't really help at ll.

I get the feeling Brad Haddin is the key... not sure he ever played IPL and he's a NSW boy... so I am guessing this is either an Aussie international who played IPL, or its a NSW cricket who has.

Aaron Finch played for RCB (Chalal), would have played with Haddin for OZ, and Finch is a Victorian and I am sure Narine played for Melbourne Renegades with him... but Vince played at Sixers..... possible that they played somewhere like Pakistan or BD or some other Franchise somewhere?

Sean Abbott played for RCB at some point, and would have played with Vince and Haddin in OZ at various points.... but not sure where that leaves Narine.

Michael Clarke played for Hampshire, so maybe played with Vince. Haddin yes. Not sure he played much IPL though...

Steve Smith... Sixers with Haddin and Vince. Chalal ... no

Who am I?

I was the first bowler to 200 ODI wickets for my country.

I took 13 wickets at the 2007 World Cup

Despite my ODI prowess I only played 12 Testa spread over 8 years.

200 wickets is a lot. Hogg/Bracken/Langeveldt.

Its definately going to be one of 4 people... but exact numbers of games + wickets is difficult, because to be honest I have no idea on precise amounts. Rather than list my options, I will let others have a poke too...

I just realised that is clearly wrong, because my other 2 Kiwis on the shortlist if they did indeed make it to 200 wickets, would have done well before Mills....

I have batted in every position in the top 6.

I have played for my country 43 times by never played a Test despite being called up in 2011.

I was Player of the Match in the 2018-19 BBL final.

I did think of him but dismissed him on the grounds as memory served, he was the missing link between the past of Rafique and the future of Shakib, but the other two's careers were much more aligned than I thought. Id have guessed he played a lot of tests....

I don't know if the wording of the question was very purposeful, but it certainly threw me for a long time. "Batted every position" obviously makes you think of a batsman, but the exact date of the test call up here is really important.

In the 10/11 Ashes, England annihilated Australia in Adelaide, and the Aussie selectors hit panic mode and sent Marcus North and Katich into retirement. They then selected Smith, Khawaja and Phil Hughes as the next generation hopes that had previously failed, but that they still trusted. And then when they all didnt do well, they turned to the only guy hitting big runs left, Shaun Marsh, who turned out to have a worse batting technique than my 2 year old niece. The important thing here is, that after Marsh turned out to be rubbish, Australia went through a period of utter desperation selections. Warner, Cowan, Rob Quiney, Moises Henriques... I think at one point there was even a very strong case for picking Cameron White in the team again. Obviously Warner did well in the end, but at the time these were controversial selections.... (I did find it funny hearing MArk Taylor and Ian Healy trying to talk think of things to say about Rob Quiney, I dont think they knew who he was on debut).

The bottom line is, there couldn't have been an international calibre batsman in 2011 who didn't get picked. It wouldn't have been possible... unless....It's not a batsman....

What else got you into international selection for Australia almost instantly in 2011..... being a spinner. Lyon was a huge left field pick, and there was many aorund that time.... all pretty rubbish.

And yes I deliberately wanted people to think that it was a better.
