Harmer averages 240.25 a week since we updated the scoring in 2019 & his highest score in that time was 453 so he shouldn't be at the foot of the table long.

Weekly Top 5

1. Babar Azam - 370 - Last year's number one player on The Cricket List gets his first Cricketer of the Week accolade thanks to a spell of fine form against South Africa.

2. Marnus Labuschagne - 242 - Marnus rounds off a great domestic summer for himself and for Queensland with a match winning performance in the Sheffield Shield final.

3. Moeen Ali - 172 - After a difficult winter, Moeen has kicked off IPL 2021 in sparkling form. He currently has the most points of anyone in our list in this tournament. Moves up three places to 12th

4. Glenn Maxwell - 168 - The 2019 highest scoring player has been quiet for a little while but is out to prove his IPL credentials. Looks a new man at RCB. Moves up one place to 8th.

5. David Warner - 163 - Has not been in the greatest form this year and came into IPL 2021 with an average of just 83.17 - the lowest of any player. He has boosted that to 94.57 this week. Moves up one place to 15th.

Overall Top 5

1. Marnus Labuschagne - 1981 - He finished second in the weekly points and stretches his leas on second place to 404. He has a short spell away from the game before making his debut for Glamorgan early next month.

3. Ravichandran Ashwin - 1485 - An underwhelming start to the IPL but he holds third spot for the third consecutive week.

4. Babar Azam - 1407 - His Cricketer of the Week performance moves him up three places and into the Top 5 for the first time this year. Lest we forget he was last year's highest scoring Cricketer. How long can he hold his own?

5. Peter Handscomb - 1223 - Drops a place as he waits to join up with Middlesex. Will hope to be back in the runs the week after next.

Weekly Top 5

1. Simon Harmer - 326 - It's been a while but Harmer is at the top of the tree once more. He is our GOAT and this is his 20th time topping the weekly charts. Stokes is in second place on that list with 9. He is just that good!

2. Moeen Ali - 211 - After always looking like something of a misfit in the IPL to date, Moeen is finally producing the goods. He has the highest average points per game of any player on our List - 95.75. His 146 against Rajasthan this week was the highest score so far in IPL2021

3. Joe Root - 182 - His return to the County Championship action has not been emphatic but a century against Kent gives him third spot for the week.

4. Glenn Maxwell - 148 - Looking in the IPL form of his life at the moment. He averages 79 points a game - the second highest of any of our players. Is up two places to sixth.

5. Virat Kohli - 137 - Virat has been in intermittent form for some while but has popped his head into the top 5 for the first time in a few weeks. Is up two places to seventh.

Overall Top 5

1. Marnus Labuschagne - 1981 - Girding his loins before joining up with Glamorgan, Marnus still holds top spot. His lead has now narrowed to 222.

2. Joe Root - 1759 - A decent innings against Kent and Root has pulled away from the chasing pack. 269 points separate him from third place - the largest gap in the whole list.

3. Babar Azam - 1490 - Maybe not one of his more memorable performances in the series against Zimbabwe but Babar has consolidated last week's haul and moved into third.

4. Ravichandran Ashwin - 1485 - A dire week for Ashwin. He has featured in two IPL games and scored 0 in both of them. Down a place.

5. Peter Handscomb - 1223 - Manages to hold his fifth place spot despite being inactive this week. He has a slew of IPL talent breathing down his neck.

Other movers

Despite finishing outside the top 5 for the week, Warner's 77 points was enough to see him move up two spots in a densely packed lower midtable. He is now 13th.

Highest Players by Format

Long Form - Joe Root - 1759
50 Over - Nicholas Pooran - 431
T20 - Glenn Maxwell - 1197

Top 3 Averages

1. Ravichandran Ashwin 212.14 (Down from 247.5)
2. Joe Root 195.44 (Down from 197.13)
3. Simon Harmer 180

Unusually, this week's largest increase and largest decrease are both in the overall top 3. Ravichandran Ashwin's average has dropped by 35.36 courtesy of his 0 point hual this week....but he still holds first spot. Those Test matches really gave him such a strong lead. On the other end of the spectrum, Harmer has gone up a huge 72.5 points per week.
