Weekly Top 5

1. Marnus Labuschagne - 356 - Marnus' 7th Cricketer of the Week accolade takes him joint level with Harmer for the year. Tellingly this score isn't in his top 3 highest for the year. When he plays....he scores big.

2. Babar Azam - 248 - Undoubtedly the star man of the T20 World Cup thus far. He has scored over a hundred points more than anyone else on our List and finishes in the Top 5 yet again. His 2756 T20 points for the year is also over 500 points more than anyone else.

3. Peter Handscomb - 180 - It has been a long time coming but Handscomb is back playing & back playing well. It looked ominous when he got just 15 runs in the first dig against New South Wales, but a century in the second innings sees him in the Top 5. Up 2 places to 13th overall

4. David Warner - 125 - Woefully out of form, the Aussie is rooted to the bottom of The overall List and is still 399 points adrift but a sparkling performance against Sri Lanka proved that there is still hope.

5. Virat Kohli - 97 - The captain's performance was one of the very few highlights for an Indian support in their defeat to Pakistan. Squeaks into the Top 5 and moves up a place overall to 9th.

Overall Top 5

1. Simon Harmer - 4452 - Another inactive week for Harmer and his lead is just 2 points.... but he is back in action on the South African domestic season so this tussle could go right down to the wire.

2. Marnus Labuschagne - 4450 - Has been the top scorer on the List for two of the last three weeks since his return to Australian domestic cricket. His eyes are very much now on the prize.

3. Babar Azam - 3778 - Mr T20 has spent 28 of the last 29 weeks in 4th place and he could wait no longer. Is up a spot to 3rd.

4. Joe Root - 3614 - That cancelled tour to Pakistan and the non-inclusion in the T20 World Cup squad has hurt Root. He has lost his Top 3 spot which he has held since the 3rd week of January. Needs a big Ashes tournament.

5. Moeen Ali - 3195 - Had absolutely zero pressure on him this week thanks to Quinton De Kock's....personal feelings. Only scored 50 for the week so is not exactly comfortable.

Ones to Watch

Other than the very narrow gap at the top, the narrowest gaps are in the middle and at the bottom. Virat Kohli has a 13 point lead on Dawid Malan for 9th position whilst Kane Williamson leads Steve Smith by just 17.

1. Marnus Labuschagne - 193.38 (Up from 186.09)
1. Simon Harmer - 186.5
3. Joe Root - 164.27

Marnus was already the player with the highest average points per week but then added 7.39 to that with his big score this week. Glenn Maxwell's score of just 5 for the week sees him fall by 7.07 points to 125.19.

Harmer is still a Titans boy.

I am going to not give you that second 10 points, DFM as I have never allocated those points to anyone for the 3 years I've been doing it so (in the grand scheme of things) it wouldn't be fair.

I hope you don't hate me too much.

not at all, but you will probably need to amend the rules at some point in the future :salute

Harmer is back in action with a handy 150+ points and the bananaman joins him with a 100 points of his own. If SRH keeps playing SA domestic cricket then I'll be a very happy bunny

Weekly Top 5

1. Simon Harmer - 153 - At the end of the English Summer the unstoppable force of Simon Harmer usually...stops. No such luck for the chasing pack this time as his performance for the Titans has seen him win his 8th Cricketer of the Week award of 2021.

2. Jasprit Bumrah - 150 - Has had a topsy turvy T20 World Cup but decent scores New Zealand and Scotland take him to second spot for the week. Moves up a place overall to 13th, 1 point off 12th.

3. Babar Azam - 110 - Considering he only played once this week, it is no small feat that the Pakistan talisman finishes in the Top 5 yet again. He has three of the four highest individual scores of the T20 World Cup.

4. Kane Williamson - 101 - Whilst his scores in T20 are never huge, Mr Steady-the-Ship does just that. He has two scores in the top third of all registered, one in the middle and one in the bottom third.

Two players tied for 5th place this week.

=5. Peter Siddle - 100 - The Tasmania player got a three-fer for Tasmania in their Marsh Cup victory over Queensland to finish joint fifth for the week. Moves into 11th place onf the overall list.

=5. Ravichandran Ashwin - 100 - For a long time Ashwin has been blackballed in the white ball game; he made that decision look questionable this week. His score of 80 against Afghanistan is the 6th highest of the T20 World Cup and the second highest by an Indian.

Overall Top 5

1. Simon Harmer - 4605 - Harmer's 4-Day Franchise Series exploits is keeping the wolf from the door and keeps Harmer in top spot for a ninth week. He extends his lead to 78 points.

2. Marnus Labuschagne - 4527 - A more meagre total for Marnus does not see him move into top spot. The gap on third place is now 639 - the largest gap between any two cricketers by some distance.

3. Babar Azam - After finishing third for the week, Azam also holds third spot overall for the second consecutive week. There us 491 points between him and the next active player.

4. Joe Root - 3614 - Another inactive week. Root will not be able to wait for The Ashes to get going. He needs to hope the gap between himself and third is not insurmountable by that time.

5. Moeen Ali - 3266 - Has not had the crackerjack T20 World Cup that many thought he might be he certainly has made 5th position his. The gap between himself and Quinton De Kock now stands at 488 points. He is also clear in second place as the highest T20 points scorer.

Ones to Watch

A mere 89 points stand between 9th and 13th. In that cluster you see Virat Kohli and Dawid Malan who are tied in 9th and Glenn Maxwell who is 1 point ahead of Jasprit Bumrah.

1. Simon Harmer - 184.2 (Down from 186.5)

All players' averages moved down this week with the exception of 2. Jasprit Bumrah was the lucky one who saw his average rise by 2.39 to 107 whilst Steve Smith, whose average had been gradually improving, took the biggest hit and ends up on 117 - a decrease of 11.64.

handy 4fer for SRH, but with only 117 lead going into the final day, he might only have his bat to add to his match total. Maybe Titans will hurry along to a declaration and try and spark a collapse in the final session..... I can but hope

Weekly Update

1. David Warner - 238 - Warner has refound his form in this competition and gets his first Cricketer of the Week accolade since October last year. It is also his highest score in three years of being on our List.

After months of not having anybody in the top five for the week with tied scores we have two in successive weeks....

=2. Simon Harmer - 168 - Is not producing his killer Essex numbers out in South Africa but is quietly pootling along with weekly three figure scores.

=2. Moeen Ali - 168 - Moeen saved his best scores until last but it was not to be for England. Has been the third highest points scorer of the T20 World Cup.

3. Babar Azam - 165 - It is such a shame that the team that wins the T20 World Cup will not have the best player in it. Pakistan's Azam has scored 523 points over the last 6 games and finishes third for the week.

4. Peter Handscomb - 147 - Back in the runs for Victoria (and looking a different player from the one who was such a flop at Middlesex.) Don't rule him out for a surprise Ashes call up. Moves up two places to 12th overall.

5. Dawid Malan - 114 - Much maligned throughout the T20 World Cup but ends it with a decent couple of knocks. Is not the superstar he was when he started the year but is still in ninth place overall.

Weekly Update

1. Simon Harmer - 4773 - Three weeks ago Simon Harmer was on the cusp of being overtaken by Marnus Labuschagne who was just two points behind him. Harmer's Titans form has turned that tide and the lead at the top is now back up to 246.

2. Marnus Labuschagne - 4527 - Inactive this week and unable to force his agenda for top spot.

3. Babar Azam - 439 - Started the T20 World Cup 84 points behind Joe Root in third and ends it 439 points above him. One hell of a tournament.

4. Joe Root - 3614 - “He waits… That what he does… And I tell you what; Tick followed tock followed tick followed tock followed tick…”

5. Moeen Ali - 3434 - One of the biggest beneficiaries of the T20 World Cup. Comfortably in fifth spot again but it's hard to see where more cricket is coming for him this year.

Ones to Watch

Glenn Maxwell has looked poor in this World Cup and is now down to 13th - however a score of 2 would move him up to 12th, 18 to 11th and 44 points would see him back in the top ten.

Re: 2021 All Year Fantasy Competition

Hello... has Mrs Prof gone out again?

Too much gallivanting by half :D

rain affected the veggie monsters push for points on day 4 in the shield, but there was enough time for him to take his runs total to 30 and then bowl just enough overs to get his second 30 point econ bonus....... more than negating a spluttering Labu, which all helps as the weeks run down. Labu does have another chance in a one day match midweek, but I'm assuming Babar will be having a period of R&R for a week or two

cheers Prof :salute
