Is there interest in the women's BBL?

there wasn't much for the women's 50 over comp.

it would be good if people could register their interest and give me some idea of whether this is a goer or not

I'm trying to raise the profile for women's cricket FL's but it can be quite hard at times..... not helped by the fact that there is often very little squad info floating about and the little there is is often buried deep somewhere or published the day before the comps start

the WBBL is not one of those usually. The Aussies at least seem to take things more seriously than the other cricket boards

This tournament starts on the 18th Oct

I be interested, prefer long season fantasy leagues than short series ones anyway.

The WBBL have 15 player squads, so clearly not all the above squads are complete yet, but I suspect most of the big names will be in those lists

WI play India during the WBBL, so some players will be on international duty for about a fortnight, which will take them away for at least 4 of the 14 matches

these squads are just what I've managed to piece together. The Strikers, Renegades and Sixers squads are definite's, Scorchers isn't confirmed but looks right. The others still have yet to announce their finalised squads.

I think Hurricanes and Stars will just include some of their younger players, because they only need 3 more players to make their squads complete

Heat and Thunder still have some power lifting to do

Scoring

Batting
1pt for every run scored
Players scoring at least 25 runs will receive a 10pt bonus for every 25 runs scored
Players scoring at least 15 runs will receive a 10pt bonus for a s/r 100-124
Players scoring at least 15 runs will receive a 20pt bonus for a s/r 125-149
Players scoring at least 15 runs will receive a 30pt bonus for a s/r 150+

Bowling
25 pts per wicket plus
5 points bonus for maiden over
10 pt bonus for a 2fer
20 pt bonus for a 4fer
Bowler with an economy rate of <=3.0 (min 2 overs) will receive a 50 point bonus
Bowler with an economy rate of <=4.0 (min 2 overs) will receive a 40 point bonus
Bowler with an economy rate of <=5.0 (min 2 overs) will receive a 30 point bonus
Bowler with an economy rate of <=6.0 (min 2 overs) will receive a 20 point bonus
Bowler with an economy rate of <=7.0 (min 2 overs) will receive a 10 point bonus

Fielding
10 points for each catch taken and stumping.
20 points for sole run out (10 each if shared)
10 pt bonus for being involved in 3 catches/run-outs/stumpings

first match starts 7.40pm local time, which I think is 9.40am BST. Teams to be in before the toss
