Rules

You select twelve golfers playing in the Players Championship starting March 14th. Your choice of players will be restricted by the following criteria. From the Official World Rankings website http://www.owgr.com/ranking

Of your team of 12, at least 3 of your players must be ranked outside the Top 50. Of the allowed 9 players ranked inside the Top 50, no more than 6 can be from the Top 20, with a maximum of 3 from the Top 5.


Scoring System

You will score points for your best 5 performers over the course of the tournament. Your best 5 players' final shot totals will be added together, with the team having the lowest total number of shots being declared the winner.

For the sake of clarity: players who do not finish the tournament (either by missing the cut or pulling out of the tournament) will be adjudged to have taken 400 shots for the 4 rounds.

If any of your players takes no part in the tournament, he will be replaced by the best ranked player available.

Thomas, Matsuyama, Oousthuizen and Koepka have been very lucky. At one point last night it looked as though the cut was going to be -2, which would have given them 74 players for the weekend.

there must have been 7 or 8 players dropping shots late on because -1 turned out to be good enough in the end

Matsuyama taking full advantage of his good fortune. 6 under so far in the 3rd round moves him up to 10th

I have 6 of the top 11 and it's a small field, so I'm hopeful

Will do this tonight whilst my better half watches Eastendale Street.
