He was called up for the Test and then left out.

At least the Aussie seamers did well, which might keep Patto out of future sides. Though there's a danger he'll be in the squads.

Dunno if he can play for his state now. Don't know if Aussies do that. He's not listed.

Can't Nathan Rimmington sit on the baggy green bench? He's got nothing better to do.

I suppose with Durham not being in the SS, there's less of an imperative to get him back.

undoubtedly

at least with Durham not playing in the SS, there will be no incentive to release the players back to their state sides between tests, whilst insisting that the Durham players have a rest

Plans might get mixed up and Big John Hastings receive an order to spend more time on his allotment, and less on the field.

start thinking about your big bash teams. I'll put the rules up after the 5th round of sheffield shield matches. That'll give everyone a week to get their teams in

state sides only have a full week to recover before they play again

Golly.... how will they cope? Poor lambs might strain something. Doubtless they'll have to rest all of my players instead of just half of them

The slide has started. At least I enjoyed the view from the top for a short period.

Still tight at the top. Seeing Red Devil's surge to the leadership is bound to inspire a feeling of hopelessness though.
