In ian's absence we still should follow the procedure of sending our teams to ian by PM before the toss of the first game to legitimize our selections. Anyway that's my intention.

It would probably be easier to just post the selection here as Ian has done

It'll be a hell of a lot of work for ian to copy our teams from this thread into his computer. Anyway I intend to follow the usual procedure.

the link to the teamsheets is there with access to both wk 11 and wk 12. I'll update as per normal and then post my teams on the thread before play gets underway

in the latest edition of the top of the table clash, ianternationals just have the edge ove the wobblers going into the final day. Neither side has scored any runs, so unless Raine (for me) or Naik (for Ian) changes that, it'll come down to whether or not Hogan and Wallace can take 3 more wickets between them than Ian's Meschede can on his own.

still all to play for in our match

Wobblers very nearly did it in the end. A late wicket for Meschede got the ianternationals over the line. Double bubble too, because he took the wicket of Ben Raine, and 10 more runs from him would have got the wobblers the win regardless. If my calculations are correct, Ian wins by 10.42 to 10.04. without the meschede wicket the wobblers would have got to 10.45, winning by 0.03, and with the wicket but with 10 more runs for Raine the wobblers would have won by 0.01. and that would have been even closer than the win over the sussex rejects.

Pity that, but a loss had to come some time, I suppose. remarkable to win 9 on the spin, really. I just have to hope that this doesn't spark some kind of collapse.

Keeps the league interesting at the top, at least.

low scoring match though. just over 500 runs total scored in the match...... I scored more than that on my own last week. Bhave scores more runs than that every week!

I probably could have beaten most this week, 544 runs and 26.5 wickets. Hope for a better showing against you this next game footman.

The good news for hope, is that the wobblers are in deep sh1t for match week 11.

As things stand with 5 div 2 counties not playing (who contain most of my wicket taking options, btw) I have 2 bowlers that I am fairly certain will play, 1 who will probably play, and 1 who probably won't. Add in that the 2 all rounders that I have available haven't bowled for a while (because they haven't been required to), and I am going to have to rely on my batsmen who all badly misfired in the last round.

If hope can't beat this lot, then he shouldn't be playing, in truth. I fully expect ian to take over at the top of the league after this round. I just can't see any way that gives me even the faintest hope of victory. The new, revitalised hftbXI should wipe the floor with this lot.........

Mitchell
Hales
Lumb
Cobb
Brown KR
Patel S
Brown BC
Finn
Coughlin
Briggs
Batty

Pyrah
Sibley
Arshad
Stirling
Solanki
Reece

these being the only players that I have available........ with not a serious wicket taking threat amongst them. I might pick up the odd wicket here and there, but I'm basically *modded* this week.

Quite possibly the only good time there has been to play the wobblers so far this season, hope, so don't screw it up!

nobody will get a better chance than this all season.
