which was pretty much the difference between the 2 sidesDurhamfootman wrote:I'm really crap at this game. Since winning the first game, I've been battered to all parts. The only week, since week 1, that I had bowlers taking lots of wickets was transfer week when we weren't playing.![]()
This week, I was up against the Boycott mob who, courtesy of lots of dnp's, had a team that stretched all the way down to Batty, who played his first game of the season and took 8 *modded* wicketswhich was pretty much the difference between the 2 sides
this seems to happen every chuffing week
I need to completely rethink my strategy for next year

BUT...Yorks vs Northants starts tomorrow at lunch
I guess those with Northants or Yorkshire players will have the advantage of knowing what has happened on day one before selecting/deselecting them.SaintPowelly wrote:Durhamfootman wrote:I'm really crap at this game. I try and look at my oppositions team, and try and match them player for player..which is easy to do against the dummy sides, for example..my oppo this week has Mitchell and Panesar, so I've gone with Carberry and Cosker, he has Kieswetter, so I've gone with A.Davies ( keeper for keeper ), he has Rushworth and Broad, so I have Tremlett and Finn etc.
If your squad isn't the strongest, like mine, I think thats the best way..and hope that someone comes off.

An oversight on my partI guess those with Northants or Yorkshire players will have the advantage of knowing what has happened on day one before selecting/deselecting them.
