Good to see Botha in the wickets, but disappointed that Feldman and Hastings aren't playing, after being in their squads.

I took a punt on Copeland being a 4 day specialist as the reason why he didn't play at all in the MB 50. He must be injured, which is a bit of a bugger, because he isn't even making the squad. No idea why the rug isn't playing. I'd have thought he'd have been a cert if available.

I could use Evan Gulbis getting going a bit in this match, otherwise he'll get dropped if he isn't careful.

The best about it is, he can qualify as a non-overseas and is in talks with Hants over playing for us next year

It's a bit odd really, because I looked at the Aussie squads for the SA tour and decided not to worry about the T20 squad members because it only affected the one round of shield matches. The ODI's were quite disruptive, though, so I avoided the ODI like the plague; or at least I thought I did. Something must have changed because I went with Josh Hazlewood and he has mysteriously appeared in the ODI squad, which is a bit of a bugger for me, although not for him.

I picked players who I didn't think would be near the internationals. But this is an unusual T20 squad. I didn't pick Hazlewood because there seemed to be a bit of a buzz about him that could become a movement to get him in the national team.

Should have found out if Bird is fit. I was surprised to see Hilfenhaus was still being picked by the Aussies. I thought his time had gone.

Now Hastings has disappeared.
