Ali Cook....... good idea. He'd make an excellent T20 opening bat, I think. I'd go as far as to suggest that he'd probably make an excellent T20 captain too.

By Ali Cook I assume you mean Alice Cook? I can see her as a Brearley type captain, able to inspire players to feats beyond reality. Already has a proven track record after convincing a failing opening bat and captain that despite all evidence to the contrary he was clearly the best man to lead his country.

Not sure about her batting style though, seems she might be a tad defensive to fit into a modern T20 side, sounds perfect for the England ODI side though.
